22nd October 201522nd October 2015 CarrieKnitting

I’ve been spending my pennies again.  Just ordered a book of lace stitch patterns from Amazon.  Curse you Morticia by Boo Knits… what have you started lol.

All about me…

My name is Carrie. I am a textile artist and a yarn addict. I enjoy lots of textile arts and crafts but mainly knit, crochet, spin, dye fiber, felt and sew.

I have a Ba(Hons) in Design: Illustration and am a qualified further education teacher.

I worked for many happy years in a couture bridal studio. First as a sewing machinist and later as an embellishment designer and a hand beader.

I have been knitting on and off since childhood and crocheting sporadically for about fifteen years but didn't truly begin my love affair with yarn until a few years ago.

I love all things involving fiber but my all time love is taking some combed top and seeing it through from dying to finished object. Best feeling EVER!

I share our home in North Wales with my husband of almost twenty years, Alastair and our Chihuahua, Khloe. Although if you ask my husband he will say he shares his home with his wife, the dog and a yarn shop!

I'm putting myself 'out there' on the internet to make friends with like-minded folks, so PLEASE do get in touch, and if you have any comments, suggestions or advice, feel free to send them my way.

Happy Crafting!
